The Crafting & Saving Update
After more than a year and a half since the original game jam release and over half a year since the last update, I've finally come around to adding a saving and loading mechanism, basically after each floor the game auto saves and allows you to load when you restart the game. Although it's important to know that this will re roll the current floor each time you reload, as the game does not currently run on a seeded level system.
Another big addition is crafting. Crafting allows you to make your own trinkets from ores found while delving, crafting a trinket or an ingot of ore will level up whichever skill that item requires to craft, allowing you to make better and better items from the better materials. Crafting removes part of the rng of always needing to find the perfect items and allows you to skew it a bit in your favor, given you take the time to mine and craft items.
Last big addition was a new window system, which allows windows to be dragged by clicking on the tab on the top side of each window, this allows you to position them however you find it the most comfortable and also provides a nice framework to create new windows if I ever need to ( looking at you, settings menu ).
On a more behind the scenes note, scaling has been added to the game, making it harder and harder the further down you go, but providing better rewards, but it's all yet to be balanced so beware.
As with each release a ton of bugs have been fixed and many more will be fixed in the upcomming days as I, or any other person finds and reports them.
You can see what's next in store for the game on the Milanote page here, see you all next time.
